GAME DAY USA AND ROUTINE BASEBALL TEAM UP TO CELEBRATE 150 YEARS OF BASEBALL AND LAUNCH “150 MORE” CAMPAIGN

NAPERVILLE, IL – As Major League Baseball celebrates All-Star Week in Cleveland, Game Day USA and Routine Baseball have teamed up to celebrate the 150th anniversary of professional baseball and have launched a “150 More” campaign aimed at ensuring America’s pastime remains America’s pastime for at least another 150 years. 

“We couldn’t miss this opportunity to admire the storied history of baseball, and shine a spotlight on the importance of innovation and growing the game in every corner of America,” said Rich Janor, Founder and President of Game Day USA. “Now more than ever before, we need to encourage and support the next generation of young leaders, both on and off the baseball field,” Janor continued.

Game Day USA, a division of Athletx Sports Group, organizes baseball and softball tournaments and special events intended to create “lifelong memories” for kids and families and to keep participants involved in the game and having fun. Game Day USA’s All-Star Weekends honor top players at tournaments, and the Junior All-American Games enable kids to “play where big leaguers play” on MLB Spring Training fields in Florida and Arizona.

Routine, a lifestyle baseball apparel company, has helped grow the game of baseball through apparel and accessories. It has given baseball fans of all ages the opportunity to celebrate the sport with a look that they can identify with, including a partnership with the MLB Payers Association, that allows Routine to produce player related items on top of their core business.

Today, Game Day USA and Routine Baseball launched a “150 More” apparel line and “150 Reasons” social campaign in celebration of the sesquicentennial, and to serve as a reminder of the importance of keeping kids in the game using baseball as the vehicle. 

Targeted toward baseball enthusiasts of all ages, the online store will be open for a limited time at routinebaseball.com/collections/gamedayusa. $1.50 from each item sold will be donated to Major League Baseball’s RBI program, designed to provide young people from underserved and diverse communities the opportunity to play baseball and softball. 

Further, a “150 More” emblem will be placed on all athlete jerseys for Game Day USA’s Junior All-American Games and Disney Teams, inspired by Major League Baseball’s “MLB 150” patches worn by all 30 MLB teams in 2019.
